The validity period of registration can be assumed to have expired on account of a number of reasons:
1. The maximum number of attempts allowed getting exhausted and the student being required to re-register for continuing the course.
2. The registration itself getting expired where there is a validity period specifically mentioned for registration.
Registration Expiry
The registration for the Executive Programme is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of registration for Executive Programme.
The candidate has to get his/her registration renewed by a process called Denovo Registration. The candidate after registering denovo would be in the same position as if his/her registration has not been cancelled.
CC Expiry
There is no specific mention regarding the expiry of the CC
Failing to get through within the Validity Period
Since the registration denovo and revalidation of CC would place the student in a position as if his/her registration has not been cancelled or his/her CC has not expired, it amounts to the student retaining all the credits obtained till then. Any exams already cleared would be treated as such, any exemptions available would stay and so on.
Renewing/Revalidating Registration
The students registration is valid for a period of five years. On the expiry of the five year period, it automatically gets cancelled.
Within two years after expiry of registration
1. Time Limit
A student whose registration is canceled on the expiry of the 5 year period has to apply within a period of 2 years of cancellation of his registration.

After Five Years:
A student who wishes to renew registration after 5 years of cancellation of registration on account of the expiry of the original 5 year period has to apply for registration afresh. The benefit of any coaching he has undergone and the subjects he has already passed would be foregone and for all practical purposes he is a student afresh.

The student has to apply in the prescribed form available with the institutes offices.
Validity Period:
The Registration De-Novo will be valid for a period of five years from the month in which the student has been registered as De-Novo.

A student registering denovo shall not be supplied with the study material afresh. Study Material can, however, be had on payment of Rs.160/- per subject. "Student Company Secretary" will be sent free of cost during the validity period of registration de novo from the month subsequent to the month in which the student was registered de novo.
Subsequent Change of Place of Residence
Data relating to the student with regard to academics is maintained at the regional offices. Therefore, once a student registers himself as a student for a particular level, he/she has to stick to the same and correspond with the same for all purposes, either academic or otherwise.
Only aspects relating to examinations are centralised i.e. processing examination applications, evaluation, verification of answer papers, issue of marks sheets, hall tickets, ... etc.
Shift to a place within the regional council
Where the student changes his/her place of living in such a way that he/she has shifted to a place which falls within the purview of the same regional council with which he/she has registered earlier, then there is nothing to worry.
Shift to a place outside the regional council
Even if a student moves from a place under a certain regional council to another place under a different regional council, he/she is needed to deal with the same regional council under which he/she has earlier registered.
Intimate the Change in address
The student needs to get his/her address changed in the records of the institute so that he/she would be receiving the student news letter and other communications from the institute properly.
These students are also advised to intimate the post master of the earlier place of the change of address, so that any mail received at the earlier place would be redirected by the post master automatically.
Eligibility for the main exam. Is Registration in time Enough?
Registering before the cut off date is one and not the only requirement to enable a student to appear at a particular examination.
In addition to this, a student also has to complete the compulsory coaching requirements (either ORAL or POSTAL) as well as the other compulsory practical trainings he/she has to undergo before being made eligible for appearing at the examination.
A student has to complete the procedure involved in the coaching scheme to be eligible to appear at the exam.
Compulsory Oral/Postal Coaching
Every student taking up the Profession Programme Level, should undergo compulsory coaching with the institution. The coaching may be taken up at the discretion of the student in any one of the two modes, either ORAL or POSTAL.
Students will be eligible to appear at the main/final examination conducted by the institute only after they have successfully completed the coaching process.
Oral Coaching
Taking oral coaching is like joining a recognized institution and going to college for classes. The institute conduct coaching classes at it's offices (Head Office/Regional Office/Branches/Chapters). The Institute also accredit colleges and private coaching centers for conducting oral coaching classes i.e. imparting oral coaching. A student may opt to join any one of these classes.
The coaching process involves conduction of teaching classes and examinations at the end of the coaching period. A student will be made eligible to appear at the main examinations only if he qualifies in the end examinations conducted by the oral coaching center that he/she joins.
You can compare it with joining a degree college for being eligible to appear at the university B.Com examination as a regular candidate. The end examinations can be understood as an equivalent of the pre-public that the colleges conduct. Getting through the pre-public (i.e. end exam) here is compulsory.
Postal Coaching
Taking postal coaching is like joining any correspondence course. A student has to prepare on his own. No teaching classes would be conducted.
The student is supplied with a set of study material in each subject. A set of question papers would also be supplied along with the study material. The total material is divided into parts and the question papers would be such that a student would be able to answer the first set after studying a part of the material. The answers to the question papers provided with the study material are to be periodically submitted within the prescribed time limits.
The submitted answer papers would be evaluated and returned to the students. A student has to qualify in the required number of papers to be eligible for appearing at the main examination.
This would amount to doing a correspondence course and attending the pre-public examination at home.
The time limits prescribed are for getting eligibility to appear for the main examination conducted during a specific term. If the papers are submitted beyond the time limit for a specific examination, the student would be eligible to appear at the subsequent examination.
Medium of Instruction and End Examination

The Oral coaching classes are conducted in English medium in majority of the places or coaching centers. The institute as well as other coaching centers especially in the Hindi speaking regions may conduct the coaching in Hindi medium also or only Hindi medium based on the requirements of the students.
For availability of coaching classes in Hindi medium, please enquire with the respective coaching centers.
POSTAL Coaching
Postal coaching is available only in English medium. However Hindi translation of material can be obtained from the board of studies of the institute.

If the same material used in postal coaching is not provided by the institute/coaching centers for the students undergoing oral coaching classes, it is advisable to acquire a set of it. This postal material would give a clear idea of the depth and width of the subject that the student is supposed to be thorough with.
Postal Coaching
A student registering for the postal coaching will receive a set of study notes/material for the subjects involved in the course along with a set of question papers to be answered and submitted for becoming eligible to write the main examination. The material is of a self study type covering all the aspects of the subjects.
Material in Hindi
Study material is available in ENGLISH medium only.
What is Coaching Completion Certificate?
These are the certificates issued by the respective institutions to their students on the successful completion of the compulsory oral/postal coaching. A student with a valid Coaching Completion certificate only will be allowed to attend the main examinations.
It is just like having to compulsorily get through your pre-public examination and obtain a pass certificate in it to be eligible for public examinations. The certificate (a copy of it) is to be appended with or its number is to be mentioned on the examination application.
Form of Certificate
The CC issued by the regional councils of ICSI is post card sized and contains the intimation regarding the grant of the eligibility by the regional council. The certificate issued has a number [CC - Number] which has to be mentioned at the time of making application for the examination. A student will have to submit answers to the specified number of papers and obtain qualifying marks to be eligible to get the certificate indicating the successful completion coaching.
The papers submitted by the students are evaluated by examiners and marks allotted to them. However, he/she should be completing the coaching requirements for the module that he/she intends to attempt.
Which Module should a Student Appear in First ?
A student can appear in any one module or more modules provided he has the CC for them. The module in which he appears first is his choice and there is no rule that the first module should be attempted first.
